ABOUT / A CREATIVE PRACTICE

From the setto the page.

Film and events sit at the centre of Christy’s work. Around them, corporate communications, writing and moderation offer different ways to shape a story and bring people into it.

CHAPTER 01

A practice across different forms.

BAO NGOC LE CHAU works as a film and event director, corporate communications strategist, writer and moderator. These roles place her in different working environments: beside a camera, within an event team, at a lectern and on the printed page.

Her education is in film directing. The selected projects trace how that background sits alongside communications strategy and the practical work of bringing a live programme together.

CHAPTER 02

Inside the working day.

A microphone and a radio share the frame in this working portrait. In the event projects, Christy’s contribution includes both creative direction and on-site management — the programme and the people delivering it.

The film work offers another view. For Sony’s Karaoke ULT Speakers TVC, her credited contribution joins the full creative concept with direction on set. The two projects make different parts of her practice visible.

CHAPTER 03

Writing and recognition.

In 2015, Christy won the Europe Impressions writing contest, co-organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam and Vietnamese Student Newspaper. In November 2021, her short story collection Hồi kết đẹp xinh was published.

Her profile also records My Beloved Wings receiving High Excellence Choice – Best Feature Film at Japan International Film Festival in 2022. These milestones belong to different forms of creative work; each is presented with its own title and context.

CHAPTER 04

The person beyond the project.

A portrait makes room for the person whose name connects these projects. BAO NGOC LE CHAU also works under the name Christy Le and is a co-founder of Pinky Lamb — Creative Production Agency & IP Studio.

The stories that follow introduce specific contributions rather than a list of services: a film concept taken to set, a communications campaign, a live event and a book of her own.
